AJKA-International (American JKA Karate Association International) is a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit martial arts organization dedicated to preserving, researching, and advancing authentic Shotokan karate worldwide.

Our Mission

Our mission is to foster character development, discipline, physical fitness, and mutual respect through standardized, high-level Shotokan karate instruction. We bridge traditional Japanese martial arts principles with modern biomechanics to make world-class training accessible to students, instructors, and dojos across the globe.

What We Do & Core Activities

    • Instructor Certification & Standards: We develop, certify, and mentor karate instructors through standardized curriculum guidelines, technical seminars, and formal Dan rank testing.
    • Global Affiliate Dojo Support: We support an international network of affiliate dojos with technical oversight, teaching resources, and administrative guidance.
    • Community Youth & Adult Training Programs: Through affiliated dojos and regional clinics, we provide inclusive physical conditioning, self-defense education, and character-building programs for practitioners of all ages and backgrounds.
    • Seminars & Budo Research: We host international training camps, referee clinics, and technical workshops focused on the continuous study of classical kata, kumite, and budo philosophy.
