At AJKA-International, our mission to make authentic Shotokan karate, adaptive training, and youth mentorship accessible worldwide relies on dedicated volunteers. Whether you are an experienced martial artist, an event planner, or simply passionate about community development, there are multiple ways to make a lasting impact.
Volunteer Instructors & Assistant Coaches
We are always seeking qualified black belts and experienced martial artists to support our outreach programs. Volunteer instructors work alongside senior AJKA leaders to teach adaptive karate classes for individuals with special needs, lead workshops for underserved youth, and assist at regional dojos. If you want to share your passion for Budo while giving back to the community, we welcome your experience.
Event Coordination & Logistics
Our international seminars, youth camps, and fundraising events require organized, dedicated volunteers behind the scenes. From managing registration desks and setting up training venues to coordinating travel, hospitality, and media coverage, event volunteers ensure our international community runs smoothly and professionally.
Community Mentorship & Youth Support
Mentorship is at the heart of our youth outreach. Community mentors help guide youth from disadvantaged backgrounds, assisting with academic accountability, dojo etiquette, and life-skills coaching. You do not need martial arts experience to be a mentor—just a commitment to supporting, encouraging, and inspiring the next generation.
Have Another Skill to Share?
We also welcome professional volunteers in photography, videography, translation services, grant writing and other media and organizational support services.
